Taking Leave in Mos school?

Question

I'm finishing up MCT (Marine Combat Training) and soon going to MOS school in about 2 weeks. Would I be able to take leave while in MOS school or before it starts?

Emergency Leave and Christmas Leave only during school.

If its an emergency, you might get some time. I would recommend just getting your @$$ to school. Chances are, if you get or take any leave, you are just going to get into trouble. Even if you are not looking for it, it will find you! I've seen it happen way too many times. Avoid it!

Get with the program and focus on getting through training!

Before it starts.............The ONLY type of leave you may get while in school would be during the Christmas holidays.............

Most MOS schools you will never be granted leave unless it is an emergency..

Certain schools which last along time such as some communication schools will give you leave but only after you have earned enough days..and by along time I mean a year.

And once again most schools you go to directly from MCT..No leave whatsoever. It takes a while to do your leave papers and you have only two weeks left.

The reason they dont give you leave is because your already in the negative and giving you more leave would bury you even further.

no leave is authorized while in a training status except during the last 2 weeks of December when all the schools shut down.
