  1. My mom took my sister on a flight at 6 weeks to germany where my dad was for the army. I would bring toys your own seat teething toys blanket change of clothing diapers wipes stuff that makes him happy.good luck

  2. I would bring your own seat.

Giving him a pacifier during take off and landing will help reduce ear pressure. Just make sure it stays in his mouth and he sucks. If he doesn't use a paci, then breastfeeding should work too, it will make him swallow and reduce ear pressure.

Pack diapers, changes of clothes, new toys that he has never seen, and will keep his interest, any food if he eats it, some medicine for any teething issues. Good luck and happy travels =)

  3. If you purchase a seat for your baby, you will need to bring a car seat to strap him in. They do not provide that. If you have a stroller where the car seat attaches to it, that is ideal, because you can wheel the stroller right up the the plane, and they will check it for you before takeoff, and have it ready for you on the other end when you de-plane.

Ear pain: I have flown three times with children under three (six months was the youngest) and the ear thing NEVER bothered them. I was always worried about that, but none of them ever cried or complained. You can make sure baby is sucking (pacifier/bottle) for takeoff and landing if you are really concerned, but, like i said, it was never a problem for mine. I think it is only when they have an ear infection that it can be painful.

Most of all, stay calm and baby will too. Don't stress, you are going to be just fine. Good luck and have fun! Also, don't be afraid to ask strangers for help if you need it. I found when it was just me and baby, people understood I needed a hand and happily obliged.

Also, remember to change his diaper often if he is drinking more than normal, and bring a change of clothes for YOU and baby. I forgot these two things one time and I got leaked on through a very wet diaper.
