Taking a LONG time to upload a youtube video?

I've had this soldier tribute video (4:36 long) uploading to youtube for 5 hours, and it still is not done uploading. How long does it usually take to upload a video of this size? Anyone with similar experiences?

it depends on your internet speed. i have the same problem too. you could try refreshing the page, sometimes it just times out. if not resetting the router could fix ya.

there could be something wrong with your internet speed or u could download a program like video accelarator

Once you're happy with your final result, you'll need to save the video in a format that YouTube can accept in order to upload. Unless you're a professional video producer, we recommend that you save your videos as either QuickTime .MOV, Windows .AVI, or .MPG files— these are the most common formats and they work well within our system. We specifically recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 640x480 resolution with MP3 audio. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on YouTube.

Try compressing the video with any free programs on the net (it will make it a smaller size, and faster to move).

Get a faster internet speed.

It normally takes about an hour or two for me. Yeah, it happens to me a lot. It took me about 8 hours to upload a video once.

reset your router ... you have used too much bandwidth and probably have not done this in a long time
