Taking a bath with period?

Is it okay to take a bath while I have my period? Or is it a bad idea?

ITs actually good it witll help the cramps.  You cant have your period in the water due to the presure but you might start to blean when u get out so i suggest u have an open pad close by to use right away.  Hope i helped.xoxo

There is no problem taking a bath with your period.  I usually wear a tampon so I don't leak into the water (contrary to what some say, you will bleed into the water, as your flow does not stop in the water).

thats the time u really SHOULD bathe because of the funky smells and blood and what not. make sure u wash good!

I've done it before and it's fine. The water pressure kind of holds the blood in until its clear. I've noticed that after i take a shower. But, overall it's fine if you do take a bath with your period. =]

I love taking long, warm bath so I have always did (even during my period) never had any "gyno" problems. I would say go ahead, perhaps my only suggestion would be to avoid extremely hot water.

A nice, long warm bath also supposed to help menstrual cramps according to the web-site below.

Of course it is! It's a great idea because you need to wash down there frequently when you see your period. Take a rag and make sure that you clean yourself. At the end, just wash the rag out so it doesn't dry with the blood next time around.

When your submerged in water, the pressure normaly stops the flow. It's perfectly okay! :)

It's fine. You can wear a tampon and you can if you go swimming etc. If you don't wear a tampon, expect to see a bit of blood.

its fine...actually..it feels great, especially for cramps.

just make sure you have a tampon in, you don't want to be bathing in period blood.

if you don't you will be smelly and fishy and smell like blood

so take showers
