Basically i was on holiday in tenerife this year and loved it.

I know its not the same going on holiday there and living there but I was thinking about taking a gap year when i finish school next year.

Has anyone done this before who could give me ideas of how expensive it is to live out there/how easy it is to get a job in like a bar or something and other general info.

If anyones done something similar and could give me loads of info that would be AMAZING thanks

  1. Although taking a gap year out sounds great it is probably not a wise idea. Im 17 and about to turn 18 and I start uni in september. A gap year would be best after Uni. I went to a presentation at Heriott Watt Uni(which you may well go to depending on where about in Scotland you live as many schools from the central belt go) and we were told it costs £5000 a year minimum so you are best to save money.

Im not sure but I think Tenerife may be expensive to live there as there is a high demand for houses and such there which pushes up prices.

But I can ask my friend, who lived in Spain for 7 years, when I next see him and edit the details of this answer if thats any use

  2. A nice website to browse http://gapyearprograms.net/
