Taking a minute off of my running time?

I've been really practicing for volleyball,

like the basics & stuff,

but also on the running.

Alot of people said they had to

run at tryouts so i've been doing that...

anyway I ran around my block a few days ago

and my time was 7:54

& I ran it again today,

and it was 6:33.

Is there a way I could get it down to 5:30 ?

  1. woah that's super good! my mile is like 8 minutes! i just suck at running. I guess if you keep practicingand get used to it, you can evetually shorten your time


  2. Earlier last year i had a pretty slow time..I forgot what it was

    Then i brought it down to a 7:03..

    Its all about how much you run...If you run alot and condition, Your time is gonna get faster and faster.

    You really dont have to pace yourself either, If you run full out its not that bad.

    And you sound like you'll be able to run full out...So try it!

  3. how far is your block?

    most people have to run a mile in 8 minutes at tryouts.

    i guess just keep practicing, a few times everyday.

    don't think about how far you have to go or how tired you are while your running.

    you can think about that after. :]
