Have you ever purchased a camera or other electronics together with an extended warranty and had to use it.

Which brand of extended warranty did you buy?

Were you happy with the service?

Will you buy it again?

Thank you for answering. :)

  1. "hipp5" said it straight on the extended warranty IMHO.

I did buy an extended warranty once, and regretted it as a waste of money - never used it.

I'd advise you against getting an extended warranty.  Many times, even if you're a klutz, the extended warranties are useless because they don't cover damage due to accidents, just defective material and workmanship.

If you're really thinking about getting an extended warranty, study the fine print to see what's covered and the hoops you'll have to jump through to get the repairs, shipping and handling and insurance fees, etc.

I did have a camera fixed under the normal warranty, and it has worked fine ever since.

  2. Don't buy extended warranties unless you are an EXTREME klutz. The statistics of it is that you'll spend more money on warranties then you'll ever save from having them. There's a reason that the salespeople are always so pushy with warranties - it's pretty much free money for them.
