Okay When i was younger, I was sweating alot then just head straight to the shower. Later that night, i puked all night long. Atleaste 20 times that whole night. And i usually do not throw up alot. And so i was told by my Mom showering when ur body is still hot and sweaty will make you sick, and even today i still beleive that.

is it true? i really need some help, i do not want to risk this and get sick :P

  1. No, she's right you add stress to your heart when you go from hot to cold without a cool down period, and even after that your supposed to take a warm shower to let your muscles relax.

  2. Exercise raises the body temperature. If you are taking a warm bath then you will not feel any discomfort but if the water is a bit cold then you will feel the discomforts caused by the sudden change in temperature.

If still you got to have a shower then do the following:

    - Never get into the shower head first.

    - Let the water fall on your feet at first, wait for 10 seconds, then upto the knees, wait ten seconds, then to the waist, then wait 20 seconds before you wet your chest and so on till you reach the shoulders. Then wait for 30 seconds before putting your head in the shower.

    - The head should get wet the last.

  3. well...after exercising you should always have a shower if you are sweaty, because i you do not have a shower straight away, the sweat will dry away and you will start to get cold, and you will get sick. But if you have a shower straight away, open a heater straight away and sit next to it until you feel that its enough, then turn it off. When i exercise and i sweat and i have shower, i dont turn on the heater cause nothing happens to me without a heater. But never have a shower: before going to school, before going to play/do something outside, and before going to sleep. Having a shower before going to school can make you dizzy and you will not be able to focus probably (not sure about you, but that happens to me). and do not have shower before you go to sleep because if you take long to sleep, you will start to get cold and you might get sick. Exercise and if you get sweaty have a shower straight away, but after you have a shower, like i said, straight away turn on the heater until you are feeling fine, then turn it off, and sit and relax. But if you have a shower after exercise do not go outside to do something, do not run around or something. Like i said: Have shower, turn on heater, turn off when you are normal, then sit back and relax. Just try it and see, but if you puke, then im very sorry :( but if you do not puke, then try when i told you every time. hope this helped :)

  4. yu know what it is its like when ppl with heart conditions cant go from Hot to Cold right away. changing the temperature of yur body so quickly isnt necessarily a good thing. perhaps yu have that problem i mean not the heart part  just the yur body gets out of whack when yu change temps. quick.
