Question:

Taking apart headphone cases

Hello.I have a pair of Philips SBC HP200 black headphones, which I have had for almost a year and am quite satisfied with the sound of. A little leaky perhaps, but broadly I'm pleased to wear them. Some weeks ago in my bag the alice-band style piece that holds the speaker-parts to my head snapped in my bag, so I've removed it with the intention of attatching the speakers to a sweatbabd or similar and continuing to use them that way.I'd like a mechanical connection to the band, rather than (or in addition to) a glue based one, so I think my best bet is to get the outermost section temporatially away from the headphones so as to drill through it and attatch some thick wires , a buckle or something else workable to them.I don't know how to open the shells. They don't seem to unscrew, so I assume they were forced on, with a catching mechanism moulded into the plastic. I'm guessing some jummying will be involved, so if anyone would reccomend a way of doing do without damaging the headphones further I would be appreciative.
