  1. We do have babies here!

There are plenty of different types of nappies - pampers being the most expensive - try and cram as many into your suitcase as possible. Greeks are not big on jars of baby food ... and rightly so! You can find jars in supermarkets but most mothers make fresh meals and use the blender. You should boil water from the tap (depending on where you are staying) then cool it for your baby's drink. There are plenty of powdered meals available (mostly dessert type) in supermarkets usually made by Yiotis and nounou (NOYNOY) also baby yoghurts. Personally I would buy a handheld blender and cook my own ..chicken/ potatoes etc etc - fresh fruit

Make sure you do not take baby out in the midday sun (from 11-5) get a baby friendly mosquito cream - NOT jungle spray - that rotted my shoes! (also available here at pharmacies) and do not allow baby to become dehydrated. Also pack some baby calpol or buy baby depon syrup if needed in Greece. Also check that the baby milk you use is available - when I took my daughter to UK at that age - I found a milk that was availble in UK as well as in Greece and changed her onto it before we left to make sure she had no reactions.

Make sure baby is either being breastfed or bottle fed when the plane takes off and lands - helps with pressure in the ears.

Have a great time - I realise travelling with an 8 month old is difficult but at least Greece most be the best place for people's attitudes to children - they LOVE them!

  2. You will not have any problems in Greece with your baby none whatsoever. The europeans are very up to date and even more than other country's in every thing and especially concerning baby's and children. But of course it depends where you are going,if you will visit some remote area, get your suplies at the super market in a big city and ask the people, most of them speak English and are  very helpful.

Concerning the water it's just fine but for your peace of mind give the baby bottled water.

I suggest to you because i travel allot to go shopping for clothes and shoes  for the baby the choices are very different and the collections are very special in style and quality, very expensive because of the Euro

    but exclusive.
