  1. ok i know what your talking about and it is not safe it gets to be 110 degrees out there and you will not get enough fluids in your baby to keep him/her safe. I know a friend who was in there 20s and he drank the reg almost 2 gallons a day and almost died last year. Phones dont work out there and so if something goes wrong it will be really hard to get a doc to you. Please im begging you dont, for the health of your child.

If your still going to do it fallow these sites- if you have never been there before i dont think you should bring your infant. Find a sitter for 4 days and then you can enjoy and you can make sure you child is healthy. From what my friends say i dont think you can bring large travel trailers. They mostly have tents.

  2. Definitely sunscreen.

  3. My friend did this, I can't remember how old she was. For the rest of us, it sucked because it wasn't carefree fun Burningman anymore.

Personally, I wouldn't do it, the BRC is tough enough for adults. If the sands start whipping up, it sucks.

I think if your trailer has AC then it'll basically be running all the 4 days you are there, so make sure you bring extra fuel.

Make sure your kid has sun protection (including sun glasses for the glare)

I'm not sure how well your baby can sleep during BM, as even for me, it was really hard to.

    Good luck though!

I'm not judging, but having been to the burn 3 times, and having dealt with my twins at the age of 7 1/2 weeks, I'd never even consider it. If anything went wrong, it's quite a haul out to Gerloch. Will you have another vehicle aside from the trailer? If you have to run to the hospital for whatever reason, it would suck to have to pack up the trailer to do it (Is it a pull along trailer or a driving trailer?)

Is the baby only drinking formula or breastmilk? Make sure you have EXTRA as you know, it's really dry out there, I drank more water than I ever did when I was out there...but I was walking around alot, which your baby won't be doing.

My advice is this...don't do it. The baby will get nothing out of it. Maybe you just want to say "Oh yeah, my baby has been to the burn every year of his/her life" but it's not worth the risk (In my opinion). YOu're not just a "Burner" anymore, you are a PARENT and your BABY is RELYING on you to keep him/her SAFE. Taking a baby in a trailer to the desert that is an hour? 2 hours? From the closest town is crazy.

Again, I know what a fun and "spiritual" experience Burningman is. You should wait until the kid can go there safely. You are a parent, remember that is your first responsibility. You can go to the burn another year. And, let's face it, BM is over hyped and over publicized in the last few years, it's not all that cool anymore.

But the decision is yours, as is the baby.

  4. bring every thing u use at home i would bring a travel swing and bed. blankets and extra bottles and maybe bottle of water to have on hand. and sun block.and extra clothes and a hat to put on top of her head bring lots of diapers and bring the meds too just in case he or she might run a fever.
