If you had bills that have already been sent to collections...and you paid each debt at least $20. /month would your credit score go up because it shows payment? also ive heard of something like if you have a debt over so many years it's swiped off your record...is it really swept off? or can they just not collect on it anymore and does it show up on your credit report???

  1. Afetr 7 years the debt is taken off your credit report and no further collections are made (but can be accepted, lol, don't bother paying them though)

No, payments very rarely help your credit score when in collections. Collections agencies typically want payment in full and may or may not report partial payments... That's something you need to discuss with your collection agency, if they agree to report payments, get that in writing. Otherwise, they'll likely avoid reporting it till paid in full.
