Taking care of my 1 year old nephew?

I am taking care of my 1 yoa nephew. He is non stop. i watch him 5 days a week. it's mean 15 years since i've done this. lack of caps is due to holdind said 1 year old.. help please

I would suggest setting play dates with parents or caretakers with kids the same age.  The kids can play together, and it would give you some childcare support and a time to ask questions, and observe.

If taking care of this little one is too much for you, then tell his parents that you would like to help but maybe only two days a week.

I am a young-ish, busy, grandma and there is no way I could take care of my grandchildren full-time while their parents work.  Really , your job as an Aunt is to spend time with your nephew and spoil him a little - not "parent" him which is what you will be doing if you are taking care of him all day.

I chuckled when you said that lack of caps is due to holding the little one!  You have your hands-full!

Consider taking him to the park and letting him run free! Anything to wear him out, or you could make a game of hide and seek, that should keep him busy and safe for a little while. Sometimes movies or favourite shows can give you and him a little break. Snacktime is also a goodtime to slow him down, try foods that take concentration to eat, not something he can eat on the run with! Good luck.
