  1. Who's the better Dr. here? You or them? Are you going to dispense the meds, or them?

  2. By smoking it will give you a high, then a low.........exactly what

    bi-polar disorder is.

So you are taking Lithium, why bother, you are taking 2 drugs, medical and pot.         It's got to be one or the other, or actually you

will still be in the same situation as you are now.  NO CHANGE....

You may want to mention this to your doctor??

**if life is not hard, WHY are you doing it and thus asking the question...............I believe you life is hard, or you would not be spending the $ for the pot, or going to a doctor to get meds for your situation. You need to make a decision about YOUR life.

  3. If you were going to die from smoking marijuana and taking lithium for bi-polar disorder, your doctor would have made that extremely clear to you. There's a chance that the two substances may react and make some sort of different effect, but I'm sure you're going to have to experience that on your own, because everyone is different.

If something bad was going to happen, your doctor would have stressed not to smoke to you. Of course doctors are supposed to tell you to not smoke and drink because those things can be destructive to our health. If you want to find out what the outcome of lithium and marijuana would be, ask your doctor, he/she's the professional.

Marijuana is a natural plant, that in some cases can be laced with other things. Marijuana itself probably wouldn't create a bad mix with lithium, but if it's laced with some sort of other drug, that might be where the problem comes in. If you're going to smoke, try to get non-laced weed, from a source you trust, not just a random person who sells.

  4. I think you should get rid of the lithium.

  5. I thought that was a battery? Can't crystal meth be made from that.

I wouldn't advise quitting your meds unless you and your doctor thinks you can handle it.

I looked it up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium_sal... it really sounds like a messed up drug.

I also found some interesting stuff.

  6. I think you should be more worried about the fact that smoking weed is known to make mental illnesses such as bi-polar disorder worse.

I'm not trying to harsh anyone's mellow, and I smoke myself, but I think that it should be enjoyed responsibly and people should know when to stop for a while and let themselves get better. Do yourself a favour and don't make life any harder on yourself.
