I'm a freshman in high school and I really don't like it. The classes are too big and disruptive. I just dread going there everyday. Is virtual high school a good option?

  1. I am in the exact same position you are in.

I totally understand about the whole school thing- I'm in the 9th grade, as well.

I'm trying to persuade my mom to enroll me in an on-line school. I've looked at tons and found a two that interested me that may interest you.

    www.flvs.com

And also, if you haven't already, you'd want to check out the homeschooling laws in your state at www.hslda.com

  2. Try these links:

  3. I'm in 9th grade to. I went to school for the first 3 weeks and HATED IT! I had to wake up extra early just to get there. You don't get to see your friends and not a lot of people are friendly. So I started looking for virtual schools and then. I found CALIVA.org since im in california but they do have other states just go to K12.com

  4. Try checking with your school district in your area to see if there may be a alternative high school that you could go to.  I am thankful that they have one where we live and that my two kids were able to attend.  The classes are no larger than 15 students, they were able to pick the time they started school.  They had the option of going morning, afternoon, or evenings.  They also could wear what they wanted have their hair the way they wanted, and also called their teachers by their first names, even the principle.  But the school was very tough on their attendance policies and homework.  Both of my kids hated regular high school so they went to this high school and my son graduated with a 3.2 GPA and my daughter with a 4.0 GPA.  I hope that they something like this for you.  Good Luck.

  5. yes--Definitely. I am w/ Keystone National High School... and it is totally independent study. You still have the teachers and clubs if you want, but its really nice. You can take correspondence (print) or i-school which is online. Check it out at www.keystonehighschool.com

    Good Luck!!
