  1. I had to step down as owner due to work and an injury and I could no longer deal with a group I created. I thought one day I would return and I did not want to give up my ownership. What I did was give control to two people I trusted. I made them CO-OWNERS with me still as an owner (lurker) in my own group. It has turned out as a very nice arrangement.

    Remember, once you give up control of your group there is nothing you can do other that be a member, leave the group, or convince the person to give back the ownership. Give the topic some great thought before proceeding.

    Also, if you are having difficulty dealing with the group’s activities consider appointing a few trusted members as moderators before considering co-ownership. The value of a moderator is invaluable and you can give them lots or as little control as needed.


  2. if you're no longer the owner, nothing you can do. sorry

    once you give a member owner privileges, Yahoo does not distinguish one owner from another, and any owner can demote another owner- so be careful when selecting owners.
