Question:

Taking the GED math test?

I recently found out that the diploma I earned when I graduated in 1994 through homeschooling privately is not good enough for the college I'm wanting to enter and that I'll need to take the GED exam. I've never been good in math, even basic math. What is the best way to prepare? Should I enroll in a few math courses at the community college, or find a GED prep course somewhere? If anyone has taken the test and has any suggestions, please let me know.

  1. I haven't taken the test, but I feel that you should take a prep class that will help you prepare for it. Taking math classes will help teach you math, but not prepare you as well as the prep course. With the prep course, you'll probably will be taught test-taking strategies, while the math course will only teach you math. It wouldn't be a bad idea taking the math course, but the prep course would probably be more beneficial. Good Luck! Take the test, don't let it take you :-)!!!
