Taking the pill late?

Question

well i just started taking the pill and on the second day i took it 20 minutes late. how much will this effect the percentage of me getting pregnant? does this now mean that i have to take the rest of them at the time i took the second? and do i have to take the pill at the exact same time everyday or with in the hour that i decided to take it?

p.s. im still using condoms and thanks for your answers

If it is a combined pill, you are supposed to take it within a 3 hour window, and you can take it up to 12 hours after that and still be covered.

If it is the "mini-pill" you are supposed to take it within a 1 hour window, and you can take it up to 2 hours after that and still be covered.

Therefore, 20 minutes shouldn't make any difference :-)

It's not very likely that you taking the pill 20 mins late would affect the pill at all. Especially if you are using condoms then your chance of getting pregnant are very very low :)

very unlikely

you are meant to give yourself a time of day to take it.. for example : dinner time - which could be between 6-8pm... there is a 3-4 hour 'window' to take it... so dont worry plus condoms will help.
