I have read that you should stop taking vitex if you are pregnant. Are you only supposed to take it up to ovulation like evening primrose oil? How am I supposed to know the moment I get pregnant so I can stop the vitex?

  1. I just started taking Vitex myself about 4 days ago for irregular periods and hopefully helping ovulation.  I know it's not safe to take during pregnancy, but I have also heard that if your body depends on it, it could cause a miscarriage.  Maybe you can take it until about 5dpo and then slowly come off of it?  Please let me know (email) if anyone responds that knows the answer to this, as I am confused about it too.  Goodluck!

  2. Generally when trying to conceive you take chasteberry and primrose oil until ovulation and then a natural progesterone like wild yam.
