Talent scouts?

Does anyone know a website that would tell me about any talent gigs or talent scouts in my area as in where I live?

the whole purpose of a "scout" is that they come to you.  if you go to them, they are called an "agent".  Scouts "scout" you out.  The thing to do is get alot of gigs, then good a gig at a well known club on a friday or saturday night.  Talent scouts always hang around good clubs on those nights.  We've had all our scouts come up to us after playing shows at The Roxy, The Keyclub, The Knitting FActory (a bunch of LA Clubs) on friday nights, when the bar is packed, because thats when the best bands play.  Either that or at a large festival like warped tour.  Its all about exposure for scouts, and if they see your name around alot, theyll be more likely to scout you out, because theyll think that you play alot and can make their record alot of money.  Oh thats another thing, scouts pretty much alawys work for a record label, theyre rarely solo men.  So if a guy says hes a scout, ask him what record label he works for and make sure he actuallys works there.
