I just got the free membership to Talenthunter.com and this morning I was scouted by a woman named Liz Stewart. However here I have run into a problem. She sent me a message through the site, and unless I have a Gold Membership I can't reply, or even see her other contact info on her on-site profile. The only info I was allowed to see was that her company name is 'Liz Scouting', username is lizscouting1, contact name is Elizabeth W and that she's based in Los Angeles. I looked into the 3-day trial but saw that right after it bills you for 29.99$, which would put me overdrawn. All sources I've found say Talenthunter is a good site for getting gigs and the like. But, if I can't afford a membership, so I have any other options? I don't know anyone on the site so I can't ask them to send her a message for me.... please help! I hate to think that me being too broke to get a membership means I have to pass up what could be my big chance.

  1. SCAM! I recieved the same E-mail today. Don't be stupid and pay... it won't get you anywhere.

  2. They are NOT a scam, I have been using that site for almost a year now and have been on many auditions and actually did a MTV reality show thanx to them.  Whoever says they are a scam is just a hater or probably someone trying give a GOOD site a bad rep!   If it wasn't a good site then why do they have hundreds of success stories listed on the site????????

  3. I signed up for this too but I was not stupid enough to pay for a membership.  I do promotions and you should be getting paid not the other way around.  Go on your local craigslist nad look up events under gigs.  You will never pay anything and you will get good work.  Also sign up at encore entertainment also free. Good luck.  There are many places you don't need to pay.

  4. total scam...i've got the exact same email

  5. Hi my name is Liz Stewart, I am a casting scout here in Los Angeles. I came across your profile and I would like to submit you for a gig that is going to be in production near San Jose very shortly... Would you be interested? Please let me know if I should consider you for submission. Also please upload your picture because I think you would be a good match for this project and a picture is required for submission.

Please let me know as soon as possible so I can get moving on this!

    Liz

Sounds too good to be true....

  6. The site is not a scam, you received a message from a casting scout so you can be submitted for a project listed on their site, how is that a scam?

I have an account there and can reply for you just give me your name on there and your email address and I will take care of it for you!

  7. Don't fall for this scam, if she's legit you should not have to pay $$.  People like this prey on the hopes and dreams of others.  Stick with checking Craigslist, or local theatre websites such as theatrebayarea.  Good luck.

  8. Do what you think is the best! Good Luck!
