  1. my 1st born was born with talipes, [both feet] though it wasnt picked up on the scan

i noticed about an hour after she was born , i was like ''why are her feet pointing sideways?''

the pediatrician came in to investigate and bent her feet in all directions to see if they could bend all ways,, cos they did it was good but he said theyd need monitoring reguarly to see how they went

they stayed like that for a while and till 17months she couldnt walk, so it may have delayed her a bit

she wore boots instead of regular shoes so that her ankles here suppported,, shes now 11 and her feet are stiill weird, lol,, they bend inwards and she wears out all her shoes on one side

i saw a dr a few months back cos she was getting foot pain, he said it was cos her feet still werent straight and that she never got proper treatment, but insoles in her shoes will help her out

the specialist wanted to stop seeing her at 4 years old, i guess maybe they shouldv given her special shoes, but they said they were ok

anyways,, its all good now,, dont panic, your bub will be fine, just see a specialist and make sure they help, xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. my daughter was born with tip hip/knocked knees and club foot but only one foot.  her's was not noticed til she was older.  i questioned it when she was born but the Dr just said no she's normal, now she is 6 and has been thur OT/PT since she was 4 months old.  just try to except that your baby is healthy but is different and god made her/him the way they are for a reason.  The baby is going to need alot of support from u as it gets older.  Try to focus on it's strengths instead of it's weakness.  My baby also was born with LD and eating disorder.  There is alot of support out there for us parents too.  once your baby comes no matter what is wrong u will find it does get easier once the shock is over.  Read everything you get because it does help.  best of luck to u and your baby.

  3. My niece was recently born with clubfoot, so I've done a little reading on the subject.  It is very important to understand that this can be treated with great success and that some very famous people (including athletes) have been born with this issue.  I know you wanted your baby to be born perfectly, but keep in mind that clubfoot does not mean your baby is not healthy.  She will need to see a pediatric orthopeadist to have it corrected (probably through a series of casts designed to turn the foot to correct position) and may or may not require surgery to loosen the tendon.  It is not the end of the world and alot of times, the mother doesn't know about the condition until the baby is born.  I think information is your best weapon and the more you read about the condition, the more comfortable you will become with the idea.  Good luck...I can say with a lot of certainty that things will work out in your favor.
