Talk Of Saafend to gash the back to back to a hat trick through the Don Nobel Celebrating 50 Years Handicap Hurdle (Division II)

Eyeing the £2,534 prize money of the Class 4 Don Nobel Celebrating 50 Years Handicap Hurdle (Division II) intensely is the seven-year-old bay mare, Talk Of Saafend. Eleven four-year and above have turned for the two mile and furlong race at Market Rasen
on Sunday, 8th July, 2012.
The Irish bay mare has raced nine times ever since the new season shot off, and has won thrice.
Her seasonal debut was in the Crabbie’s Spiffing Alcoholic Ginger Beer Novices’ Handicap Hurdle on 3rd March, 2012 at Doncaster over two miles and half a furlong.
The seven-year-old ended eighth in the field of eleven while Zefooha won the race by six lengths.
The first success of the Sopran Marida foaled was in the Randolph Hill Handicap (For Amateur Riders) on 3rd May, 2012 at Musselburgh over two miles. She was paired up with jockey, Miss. Robyn Gray for the race. Racing from the third gate, the
two caught on with the pace steadily and burst into high gear over three furlongs out. She did not let go off the grip inside the final furlong and thus kept the favourite of the race, Spruzzo, adrift by two lengths.
The next three races of the Dianne Sayer trained were failures after which she posted a back to back.
Talk Of Saafend landed the Dare To Share At Mama J’S Novices’ Handicap Hurdle on 8th June, 2012 at Market Rasen over two miles and three furlongs. Out of mare, Sopran Marida, the seven-year-old was second when there were two more furlongs to go,
and by the time she finished, there were the rest closing in at seven lengths’ differential.
Finishing the closest behind the winner was the favourite entry of the race, Harrys Whim.
The next success did not come along such a wide margin as the bay mare escaped defeat in the Springfield Properties Handicap (For Lady Amateur Riders) by a narrow neck’s lead. Qualifying as the runner up was, Oddsmaker, while filling up the third slot was,
Cool Baranca.
She will become the mount for Miss. C. Sayer, and the two will exploit the 5 to 2 chances.
