Talking in front of a large group?

I'm talking in front of a lot of my classmates tomorrow I'm really neverous! At first I was really excited, but now I'm freaked out. I can't back out now, any advice?

  1. just pretend they are all naked and more embarrassed than you are


  2. Focus on one person who is a good friend and pretend you're talking talking to them.

    Oh, and make sure you know the subject you're talking about.  Might want to give the talk a test run with your folks or a mirror.  It's impossible to give a talk if you can't give it to an empty room.

    This isn't the same as conversation.  If you prefer that tone though, involve the audience.  "How many of you know about ---?  How many just think it's boring?  Anyone else want to do this?"  may help you break the perceived tension.  The real secret is that you don't need to be self-conscious or look at everyone.

    If you had more time, I'd suggest Toastmasters.
