  1. He could be fired very easily for talking to you. I have seen some well meaning teachers get fired recently for less than what you have described here. In fact, no teacher should be on a social networking site.

What you have described is borderline predator behavior and definitely immoral. Cut communication with the teacher immediately before he loses his job.

  2. no way!altough some teachers could be fun to talk to but never go to far!

  3. I don't agree that teachers shouldn't be on social networking sites. I am a teacher and I have facebook and myspace. Why shouldn't I, so long as I take the proper precautions, private pages, etc. With regards to the original post, this is not acceptable. You may have finished your current course, but he is still your teacher. Although recent legislation did not refer to social networking sites specifically, our LEA has released guidelines stating that teachers may not communicate with students over social networking sites, unless it is deemed necessary in advance by senior management. It seems that he is feeling low at the moment and has saught solace in the wrong place. I suggest you take on the adult role and stop communication with him.

  4. Be careful. He is acting irresponsibly.

  5. It is improper for a teacher.  You should discontinue your discussions with him.

  6. If he is just a past teacher it shouldnt be a problem seeing as your just chatting. Dont let it go any further than that if he will still be your teacher in sixth form. You could both get into alot of trouble!
