Okay well I'm growing out of my tall boots and at the moment I cant really afford to but a new pair for like $300-400 and I swore to never buy the really hidious cheap kind that make you look like a beginner. Any way to make them last longer? Its more a problem in the calf area and not really the actual shoe part. Please help. :D

  1. Hi,

who said you were fat ?

Any way useing a half chap, with a boot sounds like the best way to go ?

I think it called a show chap,,, its made of soft leather and has the look of real boots and they stretch,  plus they come in tall med small etc:

    Try them..

Look up Dovers they have them !

  2. I don' t understand why you think your fat ?

No one said that did they

    Do what G,F,B,W,Y, SAID

DON'T WORRY WHAT OTHERS SAY ??

  3. There's really three solutions to the growing calf problem.

You can use bootstretch and try to stretch them, or take them to the cobbler or shoe repair guy and have him stretch them.

You can take them to a good cobbler or shoe repair shop and have a leather gusset put in the back, where the seam is.  If you get it done well with a well-matched piece of leather, it's almost unnoticeable.  This can be undone the same way, if you lose weight.

Or, if you want to try it yourself, you can cut a slit on the inside of the calf and sew a piece of elastic in.  It won't show when you're riding, and you can make the slit as long as you need it to be, and adjust the elastic - use black - until it's comfortable.  The problem here is that you've ruined the boots for resale.

  4. Well if you catch ride Jumpers ,,,You can wear the half tops and then buy a boot under them .

I have a pair They look really nice and cheap .

They have a high side and are very comfortable.

I bought mine from dover saddlery they are on sale right now for 129.00..

You may not get away with them in Equ, classes  ?

depends on the show,, if it rated or not ?
