Tallest race?

What is the tallest race of people? Please give proof of your answers.

Well, the idea of a race is somewhat difficult to actualize. However, the tallest people are the nylotics in Africa. According to Allen's rule, long lanky appendages and body structure are favored in hot environments, since they provide more surface area for heat dissipation and sweat cooling.

I read an interesting study, which determined that the average Cro-Magnon (European caveperson) was 5'10" tall, compared to the average American, who is 5'8", followed by the average Neanderthal, who was only 5'3".....

I don't think there is one.  When cultural and ethnic groups get too homogeneous, they start to get degrading DNA problems.  Populations start to branch out because of this.  Really, the only thing that determines your height is your mom and dad's genetics.

That being said - there are many tall groups in Africa.  But within those populations, you will find short people.

By the way, anthropologists don't really talk about race (or do we care much about it).  We talk more about morphology and phenotype.
