Talula Bay looking strong in Bettor.com Betting Exchange Stayers Trophy 835 at Drumbo Park
Talula Bay has a wonderful track record over eight bends and therefore, she can easily be declared the favourite to win the Bettor.com Betting Exchange Stayers Trophy 835, taking place at Drumbo Park on Saturday, June 23rd.
In her last outing over 835 yards, the black b***h was pretty impressive. After establishing her dominance at the first bend, she did not look behind and kept running smoothly.
Following an excellent effort, Westmead Hawk’s daughter secured the top spot by seven lengths.
Although, victories haven't been coming thick and fast for Talula Bay, but her chances of winning are brighter than anyone.
The female hound has an excellent stamina, which will help her continue the good work all the way through. However, she will have to attain a decent lead right from the start in order to put some pressure on her rivals.
She is all set to compete against five speedy runners, including Rays Scout, Townsend Star, Portavoe Girl, Mistonlisnaward and Philipstown Vin. The €650 open race is scheduled to begin at 20:35 (GMT).
Rays Scout is an interesting runner among the lineup of five, but some recent lackluster performances does not help his cause in making a big impact in today's race.
After ending up third in a 550 yards race, the white and black hound failed to improve, and as a result, finished fifth last time out. It will be very difficult for him to get back to winning ways, especially against stiff competition.
Townsend Star has been struggling for form, and hasn't shown much since winning two races at the start of her career. The blue b***h is running at Drumbo Park for the first time, and the alien conditions will be hard to tackle.
Portavoe Girl cannot be trusted, as a step up in class from a lower grade, spells uncertainty. Mistonlisnaward needs plenty of luck to do some damage today. She was unlucky in her previous two outings over this distance. On the other hand, victories seem to have dried up for Philipstown Vin.
Talula Bay’s experience will prove extremely crucial today. It will be interesting to see how she handles the situation in order to keep herself in the front all the way through.
