Tamagotchi 4 and 4.5 question??

Hi! So I got a tamagotchi a while back and i stopped for a while because the actual gaming device looked really bad. But today, I colored it black with sharpie and gave it pink polka-dots and it looks really really cute! So anywayz...I wanted to know if I have version 4 or 4.5? Because I wanna check the character charts for the version I have...So...I know you can tell by the game you start out with...And the game I always start out with is climb. So is that 4 or 4.5? And also, I have an option called work. Could you explain that please?
