Indiana Fever turn things around against San Antonio Silver Stars in the final quarter to chalk out a win .....

On Friday night, the AT&T Center was witness to Tamika Catchings’s impressive double-double performance of 26 points and 11 rebounds as she helped Indiana Fever come out with a 82-78 away win against the San Antonio Silver Stars.
Katie Douglas chipped in with 18 points while Briann January and Shavonte Zellous recorded 12 and 11 points respectively which helped Indiana move just 1 and a half games behind Connecticut Sun, who are the number one seed in the
Eastern Conference.
"We're excited to a steal a win,'' Douglas said. "San Antonio is a great team and they play great on their home court, so I feel like we came in a stole one. We just feel fortunate to get out of here with a win.''
It was a heart breaking loss for San Antonio, who led for most part of the game only to let their advantage slip in the final 6 minutes of the ball game. In that span, Indiana put together a 22-13 run on their way to an impressive
victory.
Becky Hammon carried the Silver Stars scoring with 15 points while also dishing out 4 assists. At the same time, Sophia Young, Shameka Christon and Jia Perkins made valuable contributions with 13 points each.
Another impressive thing to note in the fourth quarter was the number of time Indiana got to the free throw line. They had 15 of their 21 attempts from the stripe in the final quarter alone which allowed them to score easy points.
After playing out a high scoring first quarter, San Antonio courtesy of their impressive showing from long range, closed out with a 7-2 run on their way to a 31-21 advantage.
A similar kind of script was played in the second quarter which saw San Antonio continue to prolong their advantage. However, Fever closed out the first half with a 9-0 run, cutting the deficit down to 5 before heading into the
interval.
With the momentum on their side, Indiana continued to make their way back into the game and despite San Antonio’s continuous scoring at the other end, they had chipped the lead down to 5 before the start of the fourth.
Things got really interesting mid-way during the final quarter as Indiana used a quick 6-0 burst to finally take their first lead of the ball game with 3:28 remaining on the clock. Fever then managed to hold their nerve in the
final minutes of the contest as they scored their final 8 points from the free throw line on their way to a 4 point win.
