Born on December 6, 1990 in the city of Dornbirn, Tamira Shelah Paszek is a professional tennis player from Austria. The nineteen-year old Tamira is currently ranked number ninety-two in the world by the Women Tennis Association (WTA). She achieved her career
high rankings of world number 35 back in 2007 during the month of July.
As far as this year is concerned, Paszek started her season by contesting at the Auckland championship where she successfully got the better of Carly Gullickson in the opening round match. The final match score was 6-3 7-5. The Austrian player, however,
retired in her second round clash versus Rebecca Marino after trailing behind at 6-0 1-0. Her second championship of the season was 2010 Moorilla Hobart International where Tamira recorded a big victory after beating Roberta Vinci in a total of two sets. The
final match score was 6-4 6-3. She however, lost in the next match at the hands of Gisela Dulko in a lengthy clash with a final match score of 6-1 0-6 7-6.
At the Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne, Paszek was hammered down in her opening round clash against Julia Gorges in a total of three sets. The final match score was 6-0 3-6 6-3.
The Dorbirn resident next competed at a championship in Paris where she was kicked out by the ultimate winner, Lucie Safarova in a total of two sets. The final match score was 6-0 6-3.

As a result of her defeats in the opening rounds of Barcelona, Fes and Marbella, the right handed tennis sensation couldn’t participate at the French Open tennis tournament in Roland Garros.
Tamira next played at the 25,000 $ ITF championship which was held in Turkey. She won that competition, defeating Buyukakcay Cagla in the title battle. The final match score was 6-2 6-3. Her next contest was ITF Budapes where Tamira successfully managed
to qualify after knocking down Cepelova Jana and Lukacs Vanda and reached the round two, losing at the hands of Lenka Wienerova.
At the grass court Grand Slam tournament 2010, Paszek after successfully qualifying was dismissed in the second round by Kurumi Nara in a total of two sets. The final match score was 7-5 6-4.
Tamira after a couple of bad defeats found her form at the United States Open tennis tournament in New York where the 1.65 meters tall player got the better of her twenty sixth seeded tennis foe, Lucie Safarova despite being down in the second set of the
match. She however was thrashed out in the following round at the hands of Chan Yung-jan in straight sets.
The professional tennis player from Austria, Tamira Shelah Paszek next played at the WTA Bell Challenge in Quebec. She got the better of Marina Erakovic in her opening round match in a two setter clash. The final match score was 6-0 6-4. Tamira met Jill
Craybas in the second match of the competition and successfully managed to beat her in a total of two sets. The final match score was 6-2 6-3.In her first quarter of the season, the world number ninety two eliminated her eighth seeded foe, Sofia Arvidsson
in straight sets. She then overpowered Christina McHale in the semifinal to book her berth in the title battle where she managed to win the title after defeating Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
