Tammys Hill determined to win Hunters Chase
Tammys Hill is fully determined to finish first in the high-profile race of Coolmore N. H. Sires Ask & Getaway Hunters Chase which will take place at Cork racecourse on Monday, April 9.
The mega marathon over 3m distance is set to commence at 3:30 (GMT). There is reserved a big prize money worth €6,210 for the event.
The Liam Lennon-trained bay gelding will show his guts against Mountain Lough, Callhimwhatyouwant, Mount Sion, Ardkilly Witness, Shantalla, Top Four, Fishers Star, Castleview Mills, Giveabobback, Moonax Pride, Rivazza, Strawhall Maul, Wrong Turn, Dr Patmassini,
Enniskillen, Noble Chic, Oppera, Railway Storm and Turbo Taz.
Tammys Hill possesses an epic track record. He is on a hat-trick now. The seven-year-old over veteran horse won The Bray Hunt & Supporters Open and Greville Arms Hotel Open in a row on February 19 and April 1, 2012 respectively. He ran for both the time
with favourite tags.
Prior to these triumphs, the maverick sprinter had bagged a couple of consecutive victories in January 2011. During the last two months of the last year, he achieved a conquest along with a runner-up rank in two back-to-back events.
Overall, the brilliant gelding has 6 triumphs to his name. He has earned £1,244 as prize money so far.
Tammys Hill will surely be able to unleash a big run in today’s contest. His chances to finish first are as high as 97 percent.
Among his competitors, Ardkilly Witness and Mountain Lough will also struggle well for top spot.
Ardkilly Witness won two races in a row during February-March 2012. The Ruaidhri Joseph Tierney-trained bay gelding moved forward to gain runner-up spot in his last outing on March 25. In the first month of calendar year, he clinched second and third spots
in two consecutive races.
On the other hand, Mountain Lough also accomplished two consecutive triumphs from December 31, 2011 to January 15, 2012. The experienced gelding went on to finish 3rd and 5th in the two subsequent starts.
Come what may, success seems to be leaning towards Tammys Hill provided he avoids making any mistake on the track. However, Ardkilly Witness and Mountain Lough may pose some challenges to the favourite runner. Good luck to all the contestants.
