see link below, this strikes me as strange that the do this after signing a bunch of players. If Feaster was not in the plans it seems this move would have been better made a month ago?

  1. Just a matter of time I guess.

I've never seen a team strip itself bare like TBL has this summer. I guess they had to, but this has been so dramatic.

  2. Everybody, has already said it all.  I am glad to see Feaster gone.  Never been a big fan of one of the worst GMs in the league.

  3. might as well keep on with their process of revamping the ENTIRE organization...better find some D and G soon or its all going to be for nothing

  4. I read an article earlier today talking about how he was being slowly phased out. He wasn't really vitally involved in many of the signings and his name wasn't mentioned much by the new ownership group. They've probably been discussing his buyout for a while now.

Heres the link I was reading earlier.

** I think it's clear that the new ownership has a new vision for this team, and they are slowly ridding themselves of remnants of the old guard with the exception of some indispensible players.

  5. I actually thought him and Torts would go around the same time.  It's been expected that there would be an "overhaul" of the staff and if ANYONE stayed, they thought it MIGHT be Feaster however it does not surprise me one bit....just I expected it sooner.

  6. To reiterate what Iceman said

I shot Jay an email a week or two ago concerning a recent Dan Boyle rumor that had surfaced. His reply?

"[...] you have to speak with Brian Lawton, VP of Hockey Operations for the new owners, about those rumors. I honestly don't know the answers. Brian has been running Hockey Operations for the past week now and I really am not part of the inner management discussions. Thanks."

Ever since the owner took full control, he was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

    Today, it did.

CDNFAN - Brian Lawton might as well have been General Manager ever since he was hired. He has some complete BS title right now, director of hockey operations. They just needed to clear Feaster out first. I will agree with you, though. OK Hockey should have taken care of this months ago.
