Well, Ive tried tampons, and they hurt. It was also fairly uncomfortable.

But a lot of people tell me that there so much more helpful, especially when you have your period when you sleep.

I dont think the tampon was to big either. It just hurt when I pulled it out. So how do I make sure it doesnt hurt when i pull it out, and that im putting it in right?

  1. maybe you didnt put it in far enough. i used to not put them in far enough and it hurt.

  2. well i had the same thing when i was on vacation i usually used pads and when i started using tampons they hurt and felt uncomfortable when i walked or sat down. its completely normal my cuz uses them and its completely normal u just got to get used to it even though it will take a while also try kinda putting them in deeper to prevent them from slipping out becasue thats what i did and it made it a little more comfortable plus i didnt have to worry about it slipping out

thats all the advice i can give you i hope its kinda helpful

  3. If it hurt when you pulled it out then it means you didn't leave it in long enough to be saturated by the blood/it was too big of a size (plus, regular whatever) for your flow.

Also if this is your first period, or you've just gotten your first period not long ago it may be difficult to use tampons, you should wait a few cycles, in my opinion. But its up to you.

  4. keep it in longer

  5. however gross this sounds, take it out after you pee.  It usually hurts because it is too dry and peeing before would help.  I would also try the slender or the slim (most brands have smaller sizes) ... hope this helps.

  6. No, Chelsey is wrong. Never, EVER leave a tampon in for more than eight hours. Like, EVER. If you usually sleep more than eight hours, then DO NOT wear a tampon to bed. That's why they make OVERNIGHT pads. If you leave a tampon in for more than eight hours, you could get a life-threatening illness called Toxic Shock Syndrome, or TSS.

  7. libra girl tells you all about that stuff.  www.libragirl.com.au

  8. If it hurts when you pull it out, it's for generally one or both of these reasons:  1. Your tampon has too high an absorbancy or 2. You didn't leave it in long enough to get saturated enough to not hurt.  If you're putting it in overnight, then it's only reason #1, as you would not want to leave one in over 8 hours.  Try a lower absorbancy.  You also might have better luck with a different brand.  My favorite is OB.

As for how to insert it correctly, look at the instruction sheet that comes with every box and try to follow along.  HTH.

  9. The girl above me is wrong, its OK to sleep w/ them in. Anyways, its probably not far enough in or your just not used to having it in yet, it could also be because your flow isnt heavy or it is too light so its dry up there and could be rubbing it raw, Try to get a smaller tampon width wise, get slender tampons and see if that helps!

  10. I get that too, i guess its normal for it to hurt when it comes out. And i dont think your supposed to sleep with a tampon in lol.
