Hi!

So, I decided to start using a tampon. I bought the "Playtex" gentle glide...I put it in...now I'm sitting down, and I feel a little pressure there...I tried to take it out...and it doesn't budge...is it because its not "full yet" its the first day of my period.

Or should I just tug harder, I'm a little freaked out.

I can't feel it when I walk...(I'm wearing a pad just in case...is that maybe why it feels funny when I sit)

Well....I'm at a loss.

  1. No, dont tug. Just sit in a tub of warm water or splash some water 'up there' and pull it out. Its just gonna hurt more if you try to tug it without it being wet.

  2. okay take it all out now. when you put it in you need to push it up out of the plastic and throw the plastic away. then there should be a string that hangs down and you should be able to pull it out whenever you want to with that. it shouldn't feel like anything. if you are doing this and you still feel pressure, try a smaller size.

  3. yeah its normal for it to hurt or feel uncomfordable, thats what happened to me as well. After a little while it should feel a little more comfordable. Just make sure you're inserting it right, and if your not sure look for the paper in the box (it has directions)

As for it not coming out, you just have to make sure you are sitting down (the toilet is the best place) and pull a little harder, it may feel uncomfordable at first, but it'll pass. I'm glad u choose to be brave and try tampons. stupid lucky boys dont have to go through this! i hope everything works out :) i know periods suck!

  4. Alright, well the first time I uesd one, it was very uncomfortable when I walked & sat and now that i look back on it, (I still use them, now about 7 years later) it was probably because i didnt have it in far enough. My advice to you is not to try to pull it out for a while, at least until u cant stand it anymore because if its dry & u take it out it'll hurt a bunch & u wont wanna use another one again lol

  5. slowly edge it out

  6. if it's hurting you then try to take it out.  and make sure you're only leaving whats supposed to stay in there in you.

  7. you have to relax ure whole body then pull on it harder it shouldnt hurt you,  if u pull it just hard enough it should slide right out and relax thats the most important thing

  8. You'll have to pull harder to get it out. Next time, put it in farther or it won't be comfortable and is more likely to leak or work its way out.

  9. If you just put it in it will still be dry and might be uncomfortable if you pull it out.  You can though if u want.  I wear the same ones and never have trouble with them leaking so you can probably loose the pad.  The only time i have trouble with them leaking is when i change from a super to a regular.

  10. sometimes they just feel weird if they are positioned a little weird or aren't in far enough. you can take it out if you want and try again, just pull a little harder. it may hurt a little though if it is still dry, but it will be better than being uncomfortable for the next few hours. next time you put one in, make sure it goes all the way in.

  11. well the playtex ones aren't that good u  shouldn't be freaked out it's jst something that is getting used to the body and when u walk ur not suppost to feel it and no it's not the pads fault it's just getting used to ur body

  12. Aww you poor thing!!!

Thats OK, You arent meant to feel it when your walking.

You can feel them a bit when you sit, however.

Just keep pulling the string and it'll come.

    Good Luck!!
