Tampon trouble, a piece of my skin was caught on it? scared?

im sorry for the details, but this is my 2nd time trying a tampon and i was trying to take it out its been about 3 hours almost 4 and so i was close but it was ubelievable pain and i couldnt get it out when its pretty much at the middle so i looked and the edge of the tampon was caught inbetween a small sliver of my skin that was torn?

WTF? Did something happen, im so scared

i pushed it back in and im hoping it got off the skin (sorry for the details everyone) but could that have been my hymen?

 I have the same problem and i've been looking things up on the internet. Apparently it isn't abnormal and had happened to many girls. It just depends how your v****a is, I was really scared when this happened to me but its pretty normal now. I found it easier to take out sideways...it  hurts ALOT less. Even though I read that this is normal i'll probably schedule a gyno appointment just to make sure i'm healthy.
