Tandi Cuningham attributes fitness to tough exercise programme

Tandi Cuningham, who is a professional LET (Ladies European Tour) star from South Africa, talked about how she has been finding her fitness programme.
Cuningham displayed a stunning performance in the 2012 Lalla Meryem Cup, held in Morocco.  She finished tied for the second spot on the leaderboard, along with Marianne Skarpnord.
The South African star has been an avid golfer, but there is more to her golfing career than just swing and putting. She goes to gym on a regular basis, which helps her keep fit and healthy.
Speaking about her exercise programme, she said that the schedule she is currently following focuses on various aspects of physical training. The golfing sensation said that she is focusing on strength and
stamina, which are key factors when it comes to making balanced strokes on the course.
Putting her complete trust in the programme, Cuningham pointed out that she has gained much in recent months, as she is not more perfect in her strokes than ever before.
Attributing success to rigorous training, she said that she is happy to regain her lost momentum, which is something she had been seeking for a long time.
Cuningham pointed out that flexibility is the key to making perfect swings. She used to be an average swinger before taking exercise seriously, but now her swing tends to grab attention on the course.
“My exercise program benefits me and your golf game because my programme is based around strength and flexibility which is there to help me with mental stamina and physical stamina,” the South African pride
said.
She went on to say that she does not like the idea of building up body or putting on mass. She said that she likes to be lean, which helps in adjusting her body to different conditions.
“The work I do is to complement my training as opposed to actually bulking up and getting more muscular. It’s to prevent injury, maintain mobility and maintain strength”.
Cuningham walked the interviewer through how she began exercising for the sport. “I started exercising specifically for golf in 2003 and the reason for that was I had certain swing errors that I couldn’t seem
to get rid of,” she shared.
