my teacher made me do a experement about vitamin c testing and im confusied and i need to know what the backgrounf of Tang juice and vitamin c table plz i neeed help

  1. I want to help, but I just can’t figure out what you are asking.

    Usually, ‘background’ refers to a measurement without the thing you are measuring being included.  So, in vitamin C testing, I would guess that this would mean measuring something with no vitamin C in it to see how much vitamin C the test says is there.  Something like pure water should have no vitamin C.  Ideally, the answer would be 0, but in reality the measurement might not be.

    However, in your case, Tang and vitamin C pills both have vitamin C, so it isn’t possible to get a measurement without it, right?

    I guess it really depends on how you did the experiment.  Probably what the teacher wants is simply the amount of vitamin C in Tang and in a vitamin C pill.  That would be the baseline, the background level.  Then, your experiment did something to manipulate the amounts, I guess.
