i don't think i am ready and i am insanely nervous it's all phsyical no written portion and it is scheduled like this 9:00 am conditioning this will go on for at least 3 to 3 and a half hours then there will be a break then we come back at 3:00PM and we do the sparring portion for an hour to an hour and a half then we told if we passed or not and we get are black belts.

i have done jogging, push-ups, sit-ups playing baketball eating in smaller portions

but i still don't think that's enough so i need tips, diets, exercise routines, ways to mentaly prepare, good sparring tactics, and great ways to increase my indurance /cardio levels

  1. Prepare to win.

  2. Add wind sprints for conditioning.  They will simulate the bursts you'll need for sparring better than straight jogging.  You still need to jog for overall endurance though.

About 3 days before the exam, back off of physical workouts and start carbo-loading.  This is increasing your carbs to 70% of your caloric intake.  It will mess up your system a little for the first day or two (you'll go to the bathroom a lot) and you may feel like you have way too much energy but that's the point.  You'll store an extra few hundred calories in sugar in your muscles.  I did this for my black belt test and didn't hit the wall at all.  I got a little muscle fatigue when we did sparring for a long time, but was able to recover in about 30 seconds.

Finally, be confident.  Your instructor would not be inviting you to test if you were not ready.

  3. ask ur tang so do  master and ask him to help you prepare for it and i will be a black belt in tae kwon do in like a year  or two so yea tht is a long way away but ask ur master to help you and u will do fine good luck

  4. First things first, as soon as you let doubt in your mid you are already hurting your chances of success.  So think positive and know that you are ready, trust in your training, and attain your Black Belt.

Now for a really good work out that I do in my classes and there is plenty of variety is the Bas Rutten series.  There are various tapes od discs, but the all around work out #1 & 2, and the all around fighting #1 & 2 are the ones that do the most conditioning.  The Muay Thai one is really good as well and might help with the sparring portion.

I would seek those out and start using them right away.

Also they are based on 30 min workouts.

    I hope this helps,

  5. Try this (cancel your membership and join a better Fighting style)

  6. - Exercise for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes 4 times a week. (The 30 minutes does not include warm up and cool down time.)

    - Ensure that you are in your cardio zone for the full 30 minutes. If you are working too high out of your zone, try decreasing the pace or range of motion of your workout. If you are too low, increase the pace and range of motion and try to get your arms more involved in the workout.

    - Always stay in control of your movements. Never swing your arms, or fling your legs. Be strong and stay in control of your body.

    - Include lots of variety in your workouts.

Try walking, jogging, biking, in-line skating, soccer, step class, swimming or boxercise for a great cardio workout.
