Tangerines Manager Ian Holloway demands a final push from his Blackpool outfit
Blackpool manager, Ian Holloway, has urged his team to get their acts right as the season is drawing towards the close with the Tangerines reeling in the relegation zone. He admitted that the Seasiders made it difficult for themselves and will now fight
until the very last whistle blows in their campaign.
The 48-year-old further promised that his side won’t disappoint their faithful despite the fact that the Seasiders have a difficult road ahead. He was apologetic towards the fans, realizing that the club has underperformed since the start of the New Year
but ensured that Blackpool will avoid the dreaded relegation.
Blackpool came into the Premier League after going through the Championships playoff’s and made a bright start to their debut campaign. Holloway’s side registered seven wins from their 18 games in 2010 including a win over 18 times Premier League holders,

Holloway admitted that this slump could be a result of players getting excessively excited over the new experience, therefore losing their focus which has certainly worked against the hard working Tangerines outfit. Further commenting on the dip in form,
the manager said:
"When you make mistakes like we did, it's a nightmare. We know we are the dirtiest dogs in the dogs' home. We have got to come out fighting for every scrap. We are normally pretty good like that. We have got some scrapping and fighting to do."
The Former Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 manager was critical about the fact that he had to grant his side a day’s lay-off as they had to attend PFA award ceremony. He believes that attending the ceremony should not be mandatory for players, as it hampers the team’s
preparation, especially when a team is just hanging by a thread.
He further added, "The players are all off to the PFA do which is a bit of a nonsense, added the former Plymouth boss. It's a disguised booze-up with ties on and some tables. You can all slap your backs and say how good you are. I'm not going. I'm not interested.
I want to stay up."
Blackpool are currently 17th in the League table with 33 points and have recorded just two wins since the start of 2011. The Seasiders will have their work cut out as they are yet to host Newcastle United, Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City before
they make arduous trips to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
