Hey.

I was just reading an article about this woman "Tania Head" who claims she was an 9/11 victim and a survivor, She also claims she had a husband who died in the north tower and she claimed she worked for the twin towers, she also claims some other stuff which doesn't stick.

  1. I know "Tania Head" personally (or thought I did). In my opinion she is a mentally disturbed woman who craves love and attention - regardless if it is at the expense of others. There were many who, after  hearing her story of loss and survival felt that their experiences did not 'stack up' and so did not seek the support or help they needed.

While it is true that she helped in gathering 9/11 survivors into a cohesive group and served as an inspiration for those of us psychically damaged by the attacks, the sad fact is that she often chased away legitimate survivors who were reaching out for help - either by ramping up her sob story, or by deleting the email messages asking for help and support. Then when she was found out, she deleted all the records of the survivor's group...

Her entire story was a fantasy - she is know to have been in business school in Spain on 9/11/01...

  2. That's funny, because I saw an article in the NYPost saying she was partying somewhere in the north of spain...make up your mind already ppl!!! I feel sorry for this woman, she must be suffering from PTSD since her experience was so horrible. If I were her I woudn't want to talk to the media either. Just look at what the media is doing to VP nominee Palin. They are claiming her son with Down's Syndrome is actually her teenage daughter's son. Everyone is entitled to their privacy, we are all human and we all have our cross to bear. Plus,I'm amused by the fact the above poster claims to know Tania and the worst thing the poster can accuse her of is deleting posts in an online forum. Grow up ppl and QUESTION everything you read.

  3. I think that, assuming she has fabricated her 9/11 experience, this woman is a very sad and pathetic individual who must deserve pity and help, in spite of the added unnecessary pain she has caused families and friends of actual victims.

In the absence of her producing any evidence to back up her claims - she seems to realise the game is up, it would seem - the media storm should have brought forward friends, work colleagues or other persons to back up her claim. And where are they? In a Daily Mail online story, it states that as Head "crawled through the chaos and carnage...she encountered a dying man who handed her his inscribed wedding ring, which she later returned to his widow." Surely she'd have mentioned this lady's name to someone over the past few years? Just as surely there must be records of her being admitted to hospital on 9/11?

By the way, she didn't say she was married to a victim but that her fiancee, David, died in the north tower (not that it makes much difference). However, friends of the poor chap say that he never had been engaged, didn't date (let alone, live with or love) anyone called Tanya - and he hadn't been to Hawaii, which is where she claimed they'd holidayed.

Turns out, not only is it unlikely that she went to Hawaii (and certainly not with David) but she may not have even been in the US on that dark day.
