Have a tank of helium that is 2500 psi.

How many cubic feet is that?

Thank You

  1. PSI is "pounds per square inch".  It is the pressure of the gas in the tank.

Cubic feet is a volume measurement, as in, "How many cubic feet of air is there in this box?"

But the pressure of a certain amount of air, say in a 1 cubic foot balloon, could be from 1 psi to 500 psi, depending on the strength of the material of the balloon.

We'd have to know not only the psi in the tank, but also how many pounds of helium in it.

Then at a set pressure, we could tell you how many cubic feet this much helium would take up.

The higher the initial psi pressure in the tank, the faster a balloon of a given volume will inflate when you open the valve.

I would contact the local chemistry or physics department of a local high school to find out what you want to know, if I were you.

  2. You need more information to figure that out. psi means pounds per square inch, it's the pressure of the helium gas. Cubic feet measures the volume.
