Tanklesswaterheater which is better elect or Lp?

This has been discussed in a few places.  Problem with electric is that it takes a helluva current source, 80 or 120 A at 240 volts, depending on capacity.  Unless you already have a heavy service (like 200A), you could be looking at an expensive upgrade there.

Plus, because it needs to be available at any time, you can't reasonably run it on an off-peak electric meter, so you'd be paying regular rates.

LP (or any sort of gas) takes a bit more installation perhaps, especially with the venting, but would be my choice.
