Tanning Question-Use self tanner AND suntan?

Well, here's the story. I used self-tanner, and I'm a pretty good shade, but a little on the orangey side. Today, I'm supposed to go the beach. Would it be okay if I suntanned at the beach.

  1. Yes, but if you normally burn, wear a strong sunscreen.  The sunless tanner doesn't give you any kind of base tan, it's all on the surface. If you burn you'll have red under the orangey (instead of the ideal brown) and when you start to peel it'll make your sunless tan look super blotchy, and it'd be harder to exfoliate since your skin will be all raw from the burn.  It'll also be harder to tell when you're burning since it'l be harder to tell on your skin through the 'tan', so watch carefully.
