Tanning advice for light skinned dark haired, guy.?

I'm very light skinned with black hair and brown eyes. I'd like to get a little bit of a tan but my backyard doesn't get much sun because of a lot of trees and I don't have much time to go to the beach. Any advice?

I'm a fair-skinned girl with dark hair and brown eyes. I know from personal experience that you're not gonna be able to get a natural tan in a healthy way. Sorry. The only natural tans I've had have been after I accidentally got a really bad sunburn and it faded into a tan. That's really bad for your skin, and can cause premature wrinkling and even skin cancer.

If you absolutely must have a tan, get a fake one out of a bottle.

Whatever you do, don't tan outside or use a tanning bed. They will not only damage your skin but if you do it often your skin will end up looking ugly and leathery, which is worse than pale skin imho. If you are desperate for a golden glow, go for a self tanner (but not too much or you'll end up looking like George Hamilton!)
