Thailand’s talented player Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk advanced into Men’s Singles round-of-16 after defeating Indonesia’s Andre Kurniawan Tedjono in second round contest at Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton Grand Prix Gold 2012 on Wednesday, November 28, in Macau.
The incredible Tanongsak, who is an un-seeded player in the tournament, played with phenomenal speed and precision and he managed to overpower his higher ranked Indonesian challenger in an inspiring manner.
Thai shuttler was in smashing form as he played with tremendous confidence in the arena and remained successful in winning the battle in straight sets in just 37 minutes with a crushing margin on the board.
In contrast, the 14th seeded Tedjono could not play positive badminton as he failed to cope up with the mounting pressure and crashed out without proving his worth in the arena.
The Higher ranked Tedjono played with outstanding control in his strokes and managed to occupy the driving seat from opening points of the first game.
The unmatched power and placement in Tedjono’s shots assisted him to maintain his superiority against his Thai challenger who remained struggling.
Until the one-minute break, Tedjono was in strong position as he set up a reasonable lead on the score board.
After the break, Tanongsak geared up his speed in all areas and made the score levelled by staying focused.
Thai shuttler did not reduce the speed of the game at any stage and remained successful in winning the opening set with a close 21-19 margin on the board.
In the second game, the higher ranked Tedjono put in extra effort to play dominating badminton but he failed to build pressure on his Thai challenger who was on a different level.
The in-form Tanongsak continued putting up phenomenal show of top quality badminton in the concluding half of second game and he did not face any considerable trouble in finishing up the set with a stunning margin of 21-11.
Tanongsak remained successful in winning this Men’s Singles second round battle in a spectacular fashion as he easily ended up the battle in 37 minutes with a superb 21-19 and 21-11 score on the board.
