Tanvir Dar Hockey Academy defeat Gladbacher Hockey Club by 7-0 in their fifth match
Tanvir Dar Hockey Academy (HA), Lahore team continued its great performance throughout the entire European tour as they defeated the German hockey club Gladbacher by 7-0 in their fifth match.
Prior to these matches against the German clubs, Tanvir Dar HA’s team showed its dominance in Netherlands where they won all of its matches against different oppositions.
As the score-board clearly depicts the story of Dar HA’s boys’ dominance and the helplessness of the German Club team, Gladbacher. Dar HA boy’s showed their intensions from the start of the play and they dominated the entire match by scoring four of
the seven goals in the first half, while the remaining three were brought about in the second half. The German club, Gladbacher team was remained goal-less throughout the entire match.
Dar HA’s team controlled the entire match by having more ball possession as compared to their rivals. From the start of the first half they maintained quite a good pressure till the end and in the fourth minute Dar HA’s team were earned a penalty-stroke
on which they made no mistake. The defender Adnan opened the account for his team by putting the ball into the right-upper corner of the goal-post.
After the opening goal, Dar HA team created a number of good chances including a reasonable amount of penalty-corners, but those chances remained mere chances, as they were not converted into goals.
Dar Ha team scored their second goal on a penalty-corner, when Bilal made it with the help of an indirect drill. The Germans too had their chances, but the remained unsuccessful throughout the first half, in fact throughout the match. Adeel scored
the third goal for Dar HA team, while the fourth one was scored by Awais just two minutes before the interval. At the end of first half, the score was 4-0 to Dar HA.
The second half of the game was also similar to that of the first half, but with a short of goal-score. In the first fifteen minutes, the Germans created some good chances on penalty-corners, but Aqeel, Dar HA’s goal-keeper made beautiful saves on
two occasions. Rizwan, the skipper of Dar Ha scored a breathtaking fifth goal by beating four defenders in 62nd minute. The final two goals for Dar HA came in the last four minutes and the scorers were again Bilal and Awais.
