Tao Jiaming and Jinhua Tang secure their berth in Mixed Doubles main round at Hong Kong Open 2012
China’s in-form players Tao Jiaming and Jinhua Tang showed a good performance and reached into Mixed Doubles main round after defeating Chinese Taipei’s Hung Ling Chen and Ti Jung Wu in qualifying round of Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open 2012 on Tuesday, November
20, in Hong Kong.
The impressive Tao and Jinhua, who were the third seeds in the qualifying round draw, showed a great control in the aggressive play and they easily toppled their un-seeded opponents in just 24 minutes.
Tao and Jinhua were on a different level as they played with remarkable precision in the arena and managed to win this qualifying round match in a one-sided fashion in straight games by putting up a huge margin on score board.
In the meanwhile, the lower ranked Hung Ling and Ti Jung were unable to put up strong resistance as they failed to match the pace of rallies and ultimately went down against their higher ranked Chinese rivals without winning any game.
In the first game, the impressive Tao and Jinhua showed a wonderful aggression in the arena by playing attacking badminton from opening points.
The wonderful variations in Tao and Jinhua’s strokes and their incredible speed helped them to continue their domination against Taipei shuttlers in the arena.
Until the mid-game break, the confident Tao and Jinhua were in strong position as they took a wonderful lead on score board.
After the break, Hung Ling and Ti Jung tried to put up strong resistance but they failed to stop the progress of their opponents and remained struggling.
Tao and Jinhua were very calm and composed on court as they did not commit mistakes and wrapped up the first game with a staggering margin of 21-17.
In the second game, the third seeded Tao and Jinhua did not lose their control over the pace of rallies at any stage and they easily took a wonderful lead until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break, the lofty Tao and Jinhua continued their aggressive performance in the arena and they remained successful in finishing up the second game with a superb 21-13 score on the board.
Tao and Jinhua remained successful in winning this qualifying round battle in straight games with a crushing margin of 21-17 and 21-13.
