Can I save money by putting tap water in my car's windshield sprinkler? If I live in a all-year hot place?

  1. Sure, but it won't clean things like bugs or tree sap - maybe try diluting the regular stuff.

  3. yes, but by itself water doesn't clean very well, and it will freeze up in the winter, expand upon freezing, and break your reservoir.  Washer fluid is pretty cheap, and being able to see out of your windshield is pretty important when driving.  You probably should spring for the washer fluid and look elsewhere to save money.

  4. Sure,but you need to ad something to clean better than water? Mix it with washer fluid or add vinegar to the water.

  5. DO NOT ADD VINEGAR  to the water it will ruin the paint.yes you can use just water.if it gets a little cold just add 1/2 bottle of rubbing alchohol.the alchohol will help to dry the liquid on the windshield and help remove bugs.also will stop it from freezing.
