Tape to a VCR through Direct TV DVR?

Question

Is there a way to DVR something (Direct TV) and them go back and put it on a VCR tape?

I know, who does VCR anymore? Well , I'm a kindergarten teacher and my school only has VCRs, and I really want to tape a documentary for them that comes on tomorrow.

I have tried and tried, and I can't figure it out! What am I doing wrong???

Just connect the output of your DVR to the input of the VCR, then connect the VCR to your TV.  Then hit record on the VCR when your show is playing.  If you already have it recorded on the DVR, then play it and record it to the VCR.
